Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the occasion of the death of Kim Il Sung (8 July 1994).

Handsome, intelligent, good looking: these word are adjectives which are often used for describing the half brother of Kim Jong Il[1] : Kim Pyong Il. He was, is and will be always considered as a potential successor of his father, Kim Il Sung and therefore as a direct rival to Kim Jong Il. However the first son of Kim Il Sung won on the run to the north korean throne.

Accordingt to the North Korean Workers’ Journal, Rodong Sinmun, “The second-day sitting of the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) took place on Saturday”. Basically no important annoucements were made.
Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK, continued his report on the work of the Party Central Committee.
According to KCNA, the North Korean News Agency, “The Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) opened here with splendor Friday. Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK, was present there.
According to the Rodong Sinmun, “officials and members of the Korea Democratic Women’s Union from Pyongyang and local areas visited the birthplace of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk in Hoeryong on Thursday, her 98th birth anniversary (according to the North Korean propaganda 24th December 1917). In reality she’s born on the 14th December 1919.
