Death of Kim Myong-guk (1940-2016)

Kim Myong-guk, born in the North Hamgyong Province, was a « true » Korean. He was educated at the Mangyongdae Revolutionnary School and studied at the Kim Il Sung Military University and the Soviet Air Force Academy Frunze (Soviet Union) with Kim Yong-chun, another proeminent of the DPRK army. He was a ilitary tutor to Kim Jong Il, a supervisor of training and planning activities of the Pyongyang Corps and the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces. He’s a key commander in the NK army. Kim Myong Guk is considered as one of the figures attack on the SK vessel Cheonan (03.2010). Being a cousin of Kim Jong-il, Kim Myong-guk has probably relatives in foreign trade entities (like many other Kim Jong-un’s cousins) or in military economical organizations. Kim Myong-guk was fluent in russian.

1970’s: Lecturer and administrator on strategy at DPRK military institutions.

1984: Director, General Staff Department Training Bureau in 1984

1994: 4-stars General, KPA

1994-1996: Director, GSD Operations Bureau.

1996: Commander of the 108th KPA Corps

2004: Director, GSD Operations Bureau.

Being a cousin of Kim Jong Il, Kim Myong Guk has probably relatives in foreign trade entities (like many other Kim Jong Eun’s cousins) or in military economical organizations.
