According to the North Korean news agency KCNA, Choe Yong Gon was appointed vice-premier of the DPRK, according to a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly on Thursday19th June. Choe Yong Gon was a former Vice Minister of Construction and Building-Materials Industries, Chairman of the North-South Committee for the Promotion of Economic Cooperation.
Others deputy Prime Minister are Ro Tu Chol. Choe Yong Gon probably replaced Kang Sok Ju who seems to have tome health problems. The nomination of Choe Yong Gon confirms also the increasing role of the cabinet in the DPRK economy (the economy is still under the control of the Party however, more companies are now under the control of ministerial structures)
